On Thursday, I traveled to Atlanta for a school trip. We were going to tour some furniture (systems furniture) showrooms like Knoll, and Steelcase. Along with visiting some Architectural/Interior Design Firms. Thursday went as planned, and we went to Knoll.
Pictures from Knoll..
We later went to dinner and back to the hotel to watch "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice."
The girls watching Greys..
On Friday morning, we awoke early to get ready, and to head to Steelcase. Before heading out, we stopped by and got a Starbucks. Here are some pictures from Steelcase...
Upon the end of our trip at Steelcase, it was announced that the field trip was getting cut short due to the weather coming into Atlanta. We were told we could leave and head back to Savannah after we left Steelcase. So we were back on the road at 11....
We traveled through a good bit of rain, but I was thrilled to get home due to having to leave Aiden at the Vet for boarding. We got home before the worst of the weather came through and I snuggled up with my little one that I missed so much.
About 8:00 p.m. I decided that I would take Aiden out for a walk since the rain had let up a bit, and I walked outside to this.....
That's right SNOW!!!
Can you believe it?!
I couldn't.. I stood there in AWW..
Looking a "Rough" in the Snow
My Apartment
By the Pond..
Aiden not sure what to think about the snow...
Quick Snow Facts:
WSAV - Stated that Savannah, GA hasn't had snow in 14 years, and that normal February temps don't dip further than 41 degrees.
WLOX - Stated that my small town hasn't seen snow in over a decade.
Simply known by the facts, we don't get snow so when we do it's simply seen as a little miracle. I've always lived too coastal to experience snowfall. Waking up Saturday morning, I was praying that there would be like 6"-12" on the ground, but I knew better. This was all that was left. :(
A dusting of snow on the roof..
After lounging quite a bit, I decided that I would cook a great VALENTINE'S DINNER... I called my best friend, Ashlee, and she agreed that dinner for 2 single ladies was a great idea. So we had quite the feast for 2. We could have had 2 more people over, but of course that didn't happen.
Our menu consisted of..
Pan Fried Mahi Mahi
Bean Bundles
White Chocolate Strawberries

To end my weekend, I'm admiring this chair from afar..
It's avaliable in all kinds of colors... But when I look at it I see $$$$$.
It’s not a chair. It’s a movement. |
Generation by Knoll offers a new standard of comfort and unrestrained movement, supporting the range of postures and work styles typical of today’s workplace. Designed by Formway Design, Generation takes the idea of elastic design—where a product rearranges itself in response to its |
user—to a new level. Have a Great Week! |

Super fun chairs!!
Seriously, WHAT is going on in Private Practice??!!
I wish I could tell you, but I fell asleep! Sadly..
Thanks for following my blog! I find it so cool when a fellow Savannahian finds it! I am looking forward to reading all about your adventures with SCAD and interior design!
Hope you've been enjoying the weather! We've certainly been getting our fair share of weather up in the North. ;)
Looks like you had fun in the snow! Aiden is so adorable! ps. I left a little something for you on my blog!
Such cool furniture! We are getting so much snow, my dog hates it :( my kids on the other hand love it!
all of that food looks awesome especially the strawberries!!!
i love the chairs and i do not know what i would do with it but i LOVE the cow chair
I understand chair envy. I've got a bad case of it. I know, I know the Eames Lounger is so "whatever", but I can't help it. Wanted one ever since I was 7. sigh. Maybe one month I will skip a car payment, mortgage payment, groceries, cable bill, phone bill, and electric bill to get one.
