Recipe Night

Recipe Night

Tonight, I decided to experiment with a recipe that is pretty much a CLASSIC, but for me I've never made it. It was a FIRST.

Simple Barbecue Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Doesn't that look Yummy?

I went to the store and browsed the meat department at the local Food Lion. There were plenty of boneless Pork Roast, but I knew that if I bought one that I would be eating it for weeks on in. Cooking for 1 and sometimes 2 isn't as easy as it seems. I ended up settling with a Pork Tenderloin, but I was worried about it drying out. So I grabbed a couple other things and headed home to start the yummy dinner! Recipe Below

Simple Barbecue Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Ingredients
- Boneless Pork Roast or Pork Tenderloin
- 2 packs of Pork Gravy
- Tony Chachere's Famous Creole Seasoning - Original
- Your Favorite Barbecue Sauce

Preparation
1. Take the Boneless Pork Roast/Pork Tenderloin and smother in the Creole Seasoning.2. Then place Tenderloin/Roast in the crock-pot.

3. Mix up the 2 packs of Pork Gravy and pour over into the crock-pot.

4. Let Tenderloin/Roast simmer until completely done. (Took mine about 1hr.)

5. Take the Tenderloin/Roast out of the crock-pot once it is done, and shred with a fork.

6. Once completely shredded, put in a glass dish and pour you favorite barbecue sauce over the pork. Mix Pork and Barbecue together; Cover with Tin Foil.

7. Set the oven for 350 degrees and put the pork in the over for about 30 minutes.

8. Then, turn the oven on Broil and put pork in for about ten minutes.

Then serve on a croissant, or a hamburger bun! It has been recommended to add coleslaw on top. (I'm not a fan of it though)

YOUR DONE!

This recipe was very simple, and I plan on using it when I'm going to school full time. I feel that I can leave it simmering all day, and come home to a great meal. Hope you enjoy!

That looks delicious! Thanks for visiting my blog! I have to admit, I am envious of you getting to live in Savannah, it's only my favorite town ever.

That looks really delicious! I usually just put a few chicken breast in the crock pot with some bbq sauce and let them simmer most of the day. I'll have to try this one out. =)

Looks delicious! Sometimes I wish I was cooking for one, because then I could cook what I like and want, instead of always trying to please the whole gang! Only sometimes though, I do love my family!
